As you may have noticed, there has been an increase in the frequency of visits to the NIGS Museum. As the demand for visits increases, the NIGS-UPGAA Geology Museum is calling for 3rd year and 4th year undergraduate students and MS students that are willing to volunteer as museum guides. Your presence will be of great help especially with visits involving many students.
- Responsibilities and Privileges
- Orientation and training of third year, fourth year undergraduate students, and graduate students as museum volunteer guides to expand their knowledge and appreciation of geology, that could also be used as their review for upcoming geology board examinations.
- Enhancement of communication and interpersonal skills, and become advocates for earth science education.
- Additional volunteer service to add to resumes or curriculum vitae.
