The UP NIGS – UPGAA Geology Museum joined Plotting Points 2019, a Philippine Museums Summit held on October 7-9, 2019 at the Yuchengco Museum, Makati. This year, the theme of the summit was “Museums of the Future: Connections. Interpretation. Impact.” More than 80 Museums in the Philippines joined the summit to foster collaboration and to convene museum workers, cultural practitioners, and other stakeholders to discuss the future direction of the museums in the Philippines.
