In this three-day fieldwork, third year geology students are exposed to modern carbonate environments in Bolinao, Pangasinan. Reef settings are common in the Philippines and it is important for the students to recognize these kinds of environment in outcrops. Students also get the chance to observe living specimens of various fossil samples they see in the laboratory to complement their learning inside and outside the classroom.
