The thesis defense of Ms. Anne Karla M. Navarro was held last December 9, 2024, 3:00PM at the NIGS Seminar Room. Her research is entitled “Holocene Monsoonal variations in Northeastern Luzon Deduced from Foraminifera and Sedimentological Records” with the thesis committee composed of Dr. Allan Gil S. Fernando (adviser), Dr. Catherine Kissel (co-adviser, Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement, Gif-sur-Yvette, France), Dr. Leopoldo P. De Silva (reader), Dr. Alyssa M. Peleo-Alampay (examiner) and Dr. Jillian Aira S. Gabo-Ratio (examiner).

Her research is entitled “Changes in Coccolithophore and Planktonic Foraminifera Fluxes in the Inner Sea and Kardiva Channel of the Maldives, Indian Ocean” with the thesis committee composing of Dr. Alyssa M.
